They asked me to share the most memorable projects. You know, the standard thing - a star story, what was the most interesting, blah blah.
It’s like job postings - first a couple of big paragraphs about the amazing team and how we’re changing the world, then the key requirements. I read only the requirements.
Anyway, the client: a startup, something for schools in the US. They had a working product, clients, everything was fine. A proper startup - built it to work, got clients, now spending that money to make it work reliably.
What do I know about the project? Fully serverless - lambdas, S3, Aurora. Cognito, API Gateway - all that. I reviewed the architecture, clarified details, optimized, wrote terraform/terragrunt, new account, CI/CD, monitoring. Standard stuff. Done, stayed on support - ship new features, and so on.
What do they do? Honestly - I don’t know. I missed the intro, or wasn’t paying attention, or just forgot. We absolutely don’t care about their unique idea. They asked us about lambdas.
Two DevOps. Half a day. A couple of months.
A star story? There isn’t one. Just regular work.
